[Guide] How to Install MIUI 8 Nougat ROMs

Official MIUI 8 China ROMs

Requirements

• Official MIUI 8 China Developer (v6.12.22) or China Stable ROM installed
• Atleast 50% battery life

Instructions

Developer ROM users

• Lollipop Dev ROM users
  • Must be running on MIUI 8 China Developer ROM v6.12.22
  • If not using this version of Dev ROM, follow guide below for Stable ROM users
  • If you are already using an MIUI Nougat release, just follow the instructions below
• Download the Official China MIUI 8 Nougat ROM zip file here: Blog Link
• Install via System Update: Site Link
• [Optional] Performance a factory reset to wipe all unwanted leftover files and lessen bugs before or after the update.

Stable ROM users

Installing Google Apps on Official MIUI 8 Nougat ROMs

Custom MIUI 8 ROMs (EU, Globe, Multi,etc.)

Requirements

• Unlocked bootloader
• TWRP recovery
  • v3.0.2 installed: Blog Link
    • If MIUI Lollipop is currently installed
  • v3.0.3 installedt: Blog Link
    • If MIUI Nougat is currently installed
  • Don’t have TWRP yet? Follow this guide: Blog Link
• [Recommended] SuperSU 2.79: Download | Mirror1
  • Needed by MIUI LP users to flash TWRP 3.0.3 later
• Atleast 50% battery life

Instructions

• Download the Custom MIUI 8 Nougat ROM zip file here: Custom ROMs
• Reboot to TWRP recovery
• [Nougat users: Optional, Lollipop users: Recommended] Wipe > Factory wipe > Slide to perform wipe, go back to Main Menu
• Install the ROM & wipe cache/dalvik
  • Don’t know how to flash ROMs via TWRP? Follow this guide: Blog Link
• [Recommended] Flash the SuperSU zip file & wipe cache/dalvik
  • Needed by MIUI LP users to flash TWRP v3.0.3
• For MIUI Lollipop users: Old TWRP v3.0.2 recovery will be erased or become unbootable after flashing Custom MIUI 8 Nougat ROM, flash  TWRP v3.0.3 via PC/Rashr/TWRP Official App/Flashify

• Unless you have officially unlocked your device earlier, flashing Nougat based (Stock/Custom) MIUI 8 ROMs MIGHT RELOCK your bootloader,
